Sunnhordland kraftlag is currently building the Blåfalli Fjellhaugen power plant in the waterway system Blådalsvassdraget.
Be prepared for possible closing of the mountain road 6.-9. August due to transport of plant components by way of a a large and slow transportation convoy.

Warning
We advise against unnecessary driving into the area during the construction period. This applies especially to motorhomes/caravans and buses.
A barrier limits road access to vehicles under 2 metres. The barrier is placed between the lake of Fjellhaugvatn and the lake of Staffivatn.
If you are in need of traveling in the area, we advise you to ensure you have the right vehicle for the weather and driving conditions, be cautious and drive carefully. The road is narrow and winding, be prepared for heavy construction traffic 24/7 every day.
About the project
Blåfalli Fjellhaugen power plant:
- Is a new power plant that improves the production of the existing power plants in the Blåfalli plant
- Will better utilize the Blådalsvassdraget and will provide 185 new MW and an increase of about 70 GWh per year
- Planned start of construction is autumn 2025, with estimated completion in 2029
